Due to the current situation with Covid-19 around the world JKA HQ had to postpone the Funakoshi Gichin Cup 15th Karate World Championship Tournament that was scheduled to be held in October this year until 2021.
To bring Karate together all over the world JKA HQ have made the decision to do something different with all affiliated countries and have decided to hold a JKA Funakoshi Gichin online Festival which will run from October 2020 to February 2021.
This will be a “Kata” championship online, where JKA HQ Instructors will judge each JKA member’s “Kata” by Video Submission.
There is no limit on the number of competitors that can take part in the championships and JKA HQ have asked countries to promote this festival so as many students and members participate as possible there this is open to all Brown and Dan Grades of various Age Categories, noted below:
